SlideDeck by ComDexVir
Terms and Conditions and Privacy Notice
Version 2 of 8 October 2026
What changed in this version: the lessons stay in SlideDeck. You view them in SlideDeck and print them on paper from it; SlideDeck does not give them as files (such as Word or PDF), except each session's lecture notes, which you may save as a PDF for your own learners. Your email address is confirmed with a code, and a forgotten password is reset in SlideDeck with a code we email to you. See sections 1, 2, 7 and 11.
These terms are an agreement between you and ComDexVir, the maker of SlideDeck. They apply when you create a SlideDeck account and when you order lessons. Please read them; you are asked to agree to them before you create an account and before each order.
1. What you get
- SlideDeck is an app for Windows with lesson slides and printable handouts for teachers.
- The lessons stay in SlideDeck. You view the lessons in SlideDeck and print them on paper from it, on a printer connected to your computer. SlideDeck does not give them as files (such as Word or PDF), and their text cannot be copied out of it. The one exception is each session's lecture notes, which you may save as a PDF to send to your own learners.
- Lessons are sold by the session. A session pack holds one session of a subject at one grade level: its lesson plan, learner sheets and assessment, and its slides where the session has them. The store in the app shows each session, its price and whether it is on sale.
- Bundles and discounts. You can also buy a whole week, term or subject at once, at the discount the store shows. A bundle includes only the sessions on sale that you do not have yet, so you never pay twice for a session. Several single sessions bought in one order may also get a discount, as the store shows.
- The week's and term's own documents. Buying any session of a week also opens that week's Daily Lesson Log and lesson plan overview, and that term's pacing guide.
- What an order includes. Some weeks and terms are still being written. An order includes the sessions it lists, as they are in SlideDeck on the day the order is confirmed. Sessions added later (for example, a new week) are not included: the store offers them separately. Corrections to the lessons you have are free, and so are slides added later to a session you have.
- A licence, not ownership. Buying lessons gives you a personal licence to use them for your own teaching. ComDexVir keeps the copyright and all other rights in SlideDeck and its lessons.
2. Your account and your computer
- One account, one computer. Your account works on the copy of SlideDeck where you created it, on that computer. Each copy has its own application number.
- Moving to a new computer. If you change computers or reinstall Windows, install SlideDeck there and sign in, then email us the new copy's application number: we move your account to it.
- Your lessons and orders move with your account. Everything you bought, and your order history, belongs to your account, not to a computer. After a move, the new copy downloads your lessons again at no cost. The old copy stops opening them and deletes the lessons it downloaded the next time it is online.
- What does not move. Settings kept only on the computer, such as your school's letterhead and your class details, stay on the old computer: enter them again on the new one.
- One person. Your account and your lessons are for you alone: they cannot be given, lent or sold to another person, or moved to another person's computer.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
- Your email address is confirmed. When you create an account (and once for an account made before this), SlideDeck emails a 6-digit code to confirm that the address is yours; SlideDeck opens once it is confirmed.
- A forgotten password. It is reset in SlideDeck on the computer your account is on, with a code we email to your address: both are needed, so no one else can change your password. We email you whenever your password changes. If you can no longer use that address, email us from another one: we check who you are before we help.
3. Ordering and paying
- Put the sessions or bundles you want in your cart in the app, and place the order. You get an order number and the total.
- Pay the price shown, in Philippine pesos, using the payment details shown with your order.
- Email your proof of payment (a screenshot or the receipt) to [email protected], with your order number.
- We check each payment by hand. When we confirm it, the lessons unlock in your app by themselves, the next time it is online.
If we cannot verify a payment, we may decline the order and tell you why in the app. You can send us more proof, and we will check again.
4. Refunds
- If we decline or cancel your order, we return any amount we received for it.
- Once lessons are unlocked, their price is not refunded, except where they do not work as described and we cannot fix them, or where the law gives you a right to a refund.
- No refund is due for a payment that turns out not to be genuine.
5. How long your lessons last
Lessons you buy have no end date. SlideDeck needs the internet to create your account and to order, and it checks your licence whenever it is online; in between, your lessons work offline. If ComDexVir ever stops offering SlideDeck, the lessons you unlocked keep working on your computer.
6. Updates and changes to SlideDeck
- Updates. When SlideDeck opens and is online, it tells you when a new version is ready, with what is new in it: you can update at once or later. An update that SlideDeck needs to keep working (for example, to stay secure or to keep your licence working) must be installed before SlideDeck opens. Corrected and new versions of the lessons you have download by themselves. If SlideDeck stays offline it keeps working as it is, without the updates.
- Features may change. We may improve, change, add or remove features of SlideDeck, for example to fix problems, keep it secure, or follow the law. We tell you about an important change in the app.
- Your lessons stay yours. A change never takes away lessons you have bought. If a lesson you bought ever has to be withdrawn (for example, because it is wrong or the law requires it), we replace it with a corrected one or refund what you paid for it.
7. What you may and may not do
You may use the slides in your own classes, print the handouts from SlideDeck, give the printed copies to your own learners, and send them each session's lecture notes as a PDF.
You may not:
- share your account or password, or let another person use your copy of SlideDeck;
- copy SlideDeck or its lessons to another computer, or try to unlock lessons you have not paid for, or to get around SlideDeck's licence checks;
- copy, sell, upload or share the lessons, slides or handouts (as files, scans, photos or copies for other teachers) beyond your own classes, or try to get them out of SlideDeck as files;
- send a false or altered proof of payment.
8. When we stop access
If, after checking, we find that a payment was not genuine or that these terms were broken, we may decline an order, take back the lessons of an order, or block the account. We do this only for a reason, and the app shows you the reason the next time it is online; the lessons it had downloaded are then deleted from that computer. If you think we made a mistake, email us with your application number: we will look at it again and reply.
9. About the lessons
- The lessons are written to help teachers follow the curriculum documents they cite, such as the DepEd Budget of Work and the TESDA Training Regulations. Check them and adapt them to your class before you use them.
- Some lesson materials were drafted with AI assistance; each document says so where this applies.
- SlideDeck and ComDexVir are not part of, and are not endorsed by, the Department of Education (DepEd) or TESDA.
10. The limits of our responsibility
We work to keep SlideDeck accurate and working, but we cannot promise that it will be free of errors or always available. As far as the law allows, our responsibility for any claim about lessons you bought is limited to the amount you paid for them. Nothing in these terms takes away the rights you have as a consumer under Philippine law.
11. Privacy notice
What we collect.
- Your name and email address, and your password (kept only as a secure, one-way code that cannot be turned back into the password).
- When you confirmed your email address, and the codes we email you (kept only as a one-way code, and only until they are used or expire, within 30 minutes).
- Your copy's application number, a code made from your computer's hardware identifiers (not the identifiers themselves), the Windows version and the SlideDeck version.
- Your orders (what you ordered, the price, its status and the payment reference) and the proof of payment you email us.
- The internet address and country from which the app or website contacts our server, and a record of account events (sign-ins, orders and changes, including moves to another computer: the old and new copies' application numbers and the date).
Why. To run your account and licence, to confirm payments, to move your account when you change computers, to prevent misuse and fraud, and to answer you.
When your account moves. Your account, your orders and your payment records stay with us under your account; nothing is copied from the old computer to the new one. The lessons are downloaded again from our server, and the old computer deletes its copies. The record of the old copy stays in your account's history.
Where. On Cloudflare, the service that hosts our server, and in our email inbox. Our emails to you (codes and notices) are sent through Resend, an email service. We do not sell your information or share it with anyone, except the services we use to run SlideDeck or where the law requires it.
How long. While your account exists, and afterwards only as long as we need it for our payment records or as the law requires.
Your rights. Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), you may ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to its use, by emailing [email protected]. Deleting your account ends its licence. You may also bring a complaint to the National Privacy Commission.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version date is at the top. When it changes, you are asked to agree to the new version before your next order. A change never takes away lessons you have already bought.
13. The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines.
